You can rent any venue of TELUS World of Science - Edmonton including the IMAX Theatre, 
Margaret Zeidler Star Theatre, and Exhibit Galleries for special functions 
and presentations.

We can accommodate from 10 to 2,000 people throughout our facility!

Meeting and Presentations

TELUS World of Science - Edmonton is a fabulous venue to add some excitement to your next offsite meeting or presentation. Meeting in our unique venue is a great way to get your clients or associates to think outside of the box!

Boardroom                                                                                                                                            

Our boardroom is perfect for a small offsite meeting or seminar. It comes complete with everything you will need for a successful meeting including full AV capabilities and an attached servery for your catering convenience.


Winspear Learning Centre                                                                                                                    

For small meetings or mid-size seminars try our Winspear Learning Centre. It features three classrooms divided by portable walls allowing the option of separate meeting rooms or one large meeting space.



Syncrude Science Stage                                                                                                                       

For a larger presentation check out our Syncrude Science Stage, which can seat your group in casual theatre style, and comes equipped with all necessary AV capabilities.



IMAX Theatre                                                                                                                                        

For a group as large as 274 people, our IMAX Theatre can make any presentation seem extraordinary with its surround sound and floor to ceiling screen.

Private IMAX® Film Showings

All special events can be accompanied by a private showing of an IMAX film OR the IMAX film can be shown as its own event.

 

Margaret Zeidler Star Theatre                                                                                                              

Try something different and host your next press conference, fashion show or wedding ceremony in the Margaret Zeidler Star Theatre. This theatre in the round seats 250 people and adds a special flair to any presentation or seminar.


Dow Computer Lab                                                                                                                               

The next time you are planning an offsite training session, try our new Dow Computer Lab. It features 16 state of the art workstations and one instructor station.



Receptions, Dinners and Parties

If you are looking for a dinner or reception venue that is new and different, 
TELUS World of Science - Edmonton is one that will certainly impress your clients 
or associates.

For your larger groups of up to 500 people, try our Lobby and Café with lots of natural lighting and great atmosphere, or use each area separately for smaller groups.

ESSO Skywalk                                                                                                                                      

If something more dramatic is in order, then perhaps the ESSO Skywalk is for you. Overlooking the Lobby, the Skywalk is a fabulous spot for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. Or, set up a memorable dinner for up to 150 at the South end of the Skywalk.

Starlight Room                                                                                                                                     

For a smaller more intimate gathering, the Starlight Room offers an even more spectacular setting. It features a twinkling star ceiling which adds the perfect atmosphere for a classy stand up reception for 80, or a small intimate dinner for up to 65 guests.


Galleries                                                                                                                                               

If a special themed event is in order, any of our 4 new galleries offer a memorable place to stage your dinner or party. Mystery Avenue for example, is a perfect spot to host a unique dinner, combined with a crime solving team activity after your meal!

Christmas Parties

TELUS World of Science - Edmonton is a great place to host your next Corporate Children's Christmas party! With activities to suit all ages, our facility is an easy way to please each and every one of your guests. You can choose to go with one of two Santa Paks, (minimum of 20 guests) or plan your own catering and rent one of our rooms for your group! Please see the various options below.

Santa Paks are available November 17 thru December 16, 2007
Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00am- 1:00pm, or 2:30pm - 5:30pm

Option 1

Santa Pak I: $15.75 + GST per person includes the following:

  • Unlimited same day access to all of the Exhibit Galleries.
  • Unlimited same day access to scheduled Science Demonstrations.
  • Unlimited same day access to Margaret Zeidler Star Theatre Shows.
  • Lunch including all beef hot dog, small bag of chips, pop, orange, candy cane and cookie (no food substitutions)
  • Party Room for lunch, gifts and Santa (Santa is to be provided for by the organization holding the party. TELUS World of Science does not provide this service).
  • Gifts for the children are available for purchase please contact TELUS World of Science 
    Gift Shop 451-3344, press #6 for more information.

Santa Pak II: $18.75 + GST per person includes the following:

  • Your choice of one of our scheduled IMAX® films. *
  • Unlimited same day access to all of the Exhibit Galleries.
  • Unlimited same day access to scheduled Science Demonstrations.
  • Unlimited same day access to Margaret Zeidler Star Theatre Shows.
  • Lunch including all beef hot dog, small bag of chips, pop, orange, candy cane and cookie (no food substitutions)
  • Party Room for lunch, gifts and Santa (Santa is to be provided for by the organization holding the party. TELUS World of Science does not provide this service).
  • Gifts for the children are available for purchase. Please contact TELUS World of Science

* Please note that every member of the group must attend the same IMAX film on the day of their event. No exceptions. IMAX film choice must be selected in advance, with final numbers submitted to TELUS World of Science the Monday prior to the party date.

Option 2

  • Choose your own menu from our internal caterer, you may do so by contacting Jennifer Hoffman, 
    our Manager of Food Services at 452-9100 for catering options.
  • Choose one of the rooms listed below to host your lunch, gifts and Santa (Santa is to be provided for by the organization holding the party. TELUS World of Science does not provide this service).

Capacity: 140 (maximum capacity)

Explorer Gallery
$450/4 hrs
Capacity: 225 (maximum capacity)

Time slots for these rooms are 10:00 a.m. - 1: 00 p.m. or 2:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
