required to help showcase this blockbuster exhibition to hundreds of
thousands of visitors during its run, June 13 to October 13, 2008.

TWOS is preparing to host Body
Worlds 1, the most visited
traveling exhibition in the world. It is an exciting undertaking and we are
building a committed and service-oriented team of volunteer hosting staff. If you want to be part of a
dedicated team and an unprecedented learning experience, this is your
opportunity.
VOLUNTEER POSITIONS
Our volunteer team will be comprised of mature,
reliable, and outgoing persons who are committed to the overall success of our
visitors' experience. Volunteer opportunities for Body
Worlds 1 include:
- Hospitality Hosts (Non-Medical):
You will be instrumental in welcoming the public, responding to questions,
and helping to direct visitors to their required destination in a timely and
efficient manner. Your enthusiasm, effective communication skills, and
commitment to service excellence will be valuable assets to you in this
hospitality role. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain
standing for extended periods of time is a requirement of this position.
- Health/Medical Specialist (Medical):
As a health/medical professional working at an educational Touch Table
station, you will share your knowledge of human anatomy to engage visitors
in medical information and respond to their questions. Your ability to
converse easily with others, your training/course work in human anatomy, and
your interest to share knowledge about the human body and the health impact
of life-style choices will guide you in this educational role. The ability
to work in a fast-paced environment and remain standing for extended periods
of time is a requirement of this position.

volunteer REQUIREMENTS AND COMMITMENTS
TIME:
What is the minimum time required to volunteer?
- The Body
Worlds 1 exhibit is scheduled over a
four-month period, June 13 to October 13.
Volunteer staff are requested to
work a minimum of one shift per week during each week of the exhibition.
Persons with increased availability are welcome to work more than one shift
per week.
If I am not available to work each week from June to October, can I still
volunteer?
- Persons unable to work the full duration of the exhibit can volunteer to
work an equivalent of 40 hours.
How long are shifts and when are they available?
- Shifts are approximately 4 hours in length and will be scheduled mornings,
afternoons and/or evenings, seven days per week.
Do I work different shifts or the same shift each
week?
- For convenience and continuity, volunteer staff will be provided a
consistent shift schedule (same day and time) throughout their placement, as
per their noted availability.
TRAINING:
Will training be provided?
- Training is essential to an enjoyable volunteer experience. These
sessions will provide the skills and information required to be comfortable and
confident in your new role. Training commitments are mandatory and will be
scheduled prior to placement.
AGE:
What are the age requirements to volunteer?
- You must be a minimum of 15 years of age to apply for a volunteer
position. There is no maximum age limit.

APPLYING:
What is the process once I complete the application form?
- Upon receipt of your completed application, you will be invited to attend
an information session to tour our facility and gain all the information you
need to make an informed choice about your volunteer commitment.
- Applicants are interviewed after attending an information session.
- As part of our screening process, applicants must pass a police
background check. There is no financial cost to the applicant to complete this
process.
- Applicants receive confirmation of placement(s).
- Job-specific training is then coordinated.
